Emily Eifler (@emilyeifler) is an American artist who lives and works in San Francisco, California. Her work focuses on the back and forth between the physical and the virtual by kneading embodiment and experience between material and image space in an effort to blur that boundary for people as well as our objects and ideas. Her personal stake in this blurred boundary sprung from long term memory loss due to a brain injury caused by gas poisoning. With only a fleeting ability to store autobiographical memories herself she had to look to others, both people and tools, to create systems of transactive memory and experience.
