Tega Brain (@tegabrain) is an Australian born artist and environmental engineer whose eccentric engineering intersects art, ecology & engineering. Eccentric engineering reimagines technologies to address their scope and politics, with a focus on systems that enact more-than-only-human agendas.  She has recently exhibited at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin, the Science Gallery Dublin, Eyebeam in New York City and the Australian Centre for Design, Sydney. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Art in America, The Atlantic, National Public Radio, Bavarian Broadcasting, Reuters, RTL Television, Germany, the Observer and in art and technology blogs like the Creators Project and the New Aesthetic. She has given workshops and talks at museums and conferences like TedxSydney, Haus der Kulturen der Welt and the Eyeo Festival.

Tega is a 2016 fellow with the Processing Foundation and is a p5.js contributor. She is an Assistant Professor of New Media at SUNY Purchase and also works with the School for Poetic Computation, NYC. She has been an artist in residence at Eyebeam Art and Technology Center in New York City and at the Environmental Health Clinic at New York University. In 2013 she was awarded a Creative Australia Fellowship for early career artists from the Australia Council for the Arts
